Wednesday, October 27, 2021 –Gatundu South Member of parliament Moses Kuria has alleged that ODM Party leader Raila Odinga will likely trounce Deputy President William Ruto in 2022 contest.
Under his Chama cha Kazi CCK Party, Kuria conducted a quick survey around key regions in the country and found out that Odinga is likely beating Ruto towards 2022.
He went ahead to share the poll results on his Facebook account on Tuesday October 26 which indicated that Ruto was above the rest of the candidates – Raila, Mudavadi and Kalonzo. That Ruto was leading with 6.3 million votes which makes 40.97 percent while Raila followed with 5.7 percent with 36.84 percent. Mudavadi emerged third and Kalonzo last.
In the 15.5 total votes cast, none of the four got the 50.1 threshold, and a run off was likely and this would pit Odinga against Ruto. Kuria claimed that in the run off phase, Raila was going to emerge victorious with 8.1 million votes being 52.28 percent as compared to the DP who will get 7.4 million votes being 47.72 percent.
According to MP Kuria’s findings, Odinga would win in Nairobi, Kisii, Ukambani Nyanza and Western Regions as Ruto lead in Mt Kenya, his Rift Valley region, Wajir and Turkana. At the Coast the two would tie.
These findings are not far from Prof Peter Kagwanja’s latest prediction data which also put Raila shoulders high above the rest.
“Don’t dance yourself out of the ring before the due time. The time is coming. This is bad timing for any deception and switching sides,” the political advisor and strategist stated in response to those claiming that the DP Ruto had already sealed his strongholds.
Ruto’s political adviser Barrack Muluka blew cold and warm on the matter saying Ruto is yet to be sure of Mt Kenya but he is at a very good position to emerge the winner only if things remain constant.
