Sunday, July 3, 2022 –A video has surfaced implicating Deputy President William Ruto in a plot to slap President Uhuru Kenyatta at the height of the highly contested 2017/18 general election.

The first to play this video clip in Public was Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed who on Sunday July 3 played the recording in Ndhiwa Homa Bay Azimio rally in which Ruto was angry at his boss’s decision to boycott the 2017 repeat election.

This was after the Supreme Court ruling had nullified their election and ordered a repeat exercise pitting them against the National Super Alliance NASA leader, Raila Odinga.

Before Junet Mohamed exposed this controversial clip to the public, Nation Media was the first to have it with them though privately.

The MP though did not explain the source of the clip which some impeccable voices claim it was recorded and retrieved from DP William Ruto’s Karen residence on July 1 during a closed door meeting.

Sadly in the same video, the UDA Party boss can be heard making fun of what he found President Uhuru Kenyatta doing when he stormed the State house to pressure him(Uhuru) to participate in the repeat election following the directive by CJ David Maraga.

“Uhuuu Haaa….I left my place here and went to State House, I do not want to say what he was doing when I got there because we are adults (laughs). He started mumbling, saying that he no longer wants it and he wants to go to Ichaweri and that we should let him be.

“I looked at him and told him that you! It is just that I had respect for him otherwise I would have slapped him. That we let go and leave?” the DP recounted.

Azimio and Jubilee politicians now think Ruto has all along been disrespectful to the Head of State and the Handshake is only an excuse he had decided to cling on for political reasons.

This clip, according to MP Junet, is a clear prove Ruto and Uhuru severed ways long time ago before the Handshake came into existence but Ruto being who he is want to blame his woes on Odinga.
