Tuesday, July 12, 2022 –Deputy President William Ruto has surfaced with a mockery response to Eugene Wamalwa over slap claims.

Speaking to multitudes in Trans Nzoia over the weekend, Ruto told Wamalwa’s village mates that he cannot extend his hand to slap a women(in reference to the CS).

He sarcastically claimed that his culture and upbringing cannot allow a man to assault any woman.

“I heard somebody I gave the Cabinet job, and who comes from here, claim that I wanted to slap him. Let me tell you this; where I come from, we do not slap women. Tell him that we respect women.

“Remind him to calm down. Without me, he would have been roaming around the streets. I got him from the rags and gave him the CS job,” the DP claimed.

He was responding to wild allegations by the Cabinet Secretary for Defense, Eugene Wamalwa, who while at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega during the recent Azimio la Umoja Rally, implicated him(DP) in another slapping scene.

He justified that when he took some Luhya leaders direct to Mr Kenyatta in the Statehouse, Ruto after a long quarrel, almost landed a slap on him.

“Huyu Ruto ….was furious and demanded my immediate resignation. He wanted me to explain why I had taken leaders to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta without his permission,” Eugene remarked.

Ruto, however, has cautioned Wamalwa to shut up because without him he could still be a job seeker idling on the streets.

Wamalwa first joined the Jubilee government Cabinet in 2015 just two years after Uhuru and Ruto got into office.
