21-Year old boy Lands job in Senator’s Office

Sunday, November 13, 2022 –Kakamega Senate office continued receiving new staff as the current senator races with time to fill remaining available vacancies.

Latest beneficiary to be haired is a 21-year old Brian Matiro from Matungu Subcounty who has taken over the communication director’s office.

Senator Boni Khalwale hired Matiro whom he described as a vibrant youngest staff member with ability to deliver digital assignments.

 “Brian Matiro, from Matungu Constituency. A computer wiz kid aged 21 years, is the youngest employee in my Kakamega County office as Director of Communications” stated Khalwale.

On his part, Matiro thanked the senator and added that he will make sure he turns around the visibility of the Senator and his work around Kakamega County.

“I take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to Dr. Boni Khalwale for appointing a 21-year-old to be to his communication director. Thanks, Dr. Boni Khalwale for appointing me,” stated Matiro.

In an interview with another channel, the youthful Matiro urged all the young men and women to always use digital platforms to change lives and not to spread hate speech.

During the just-ended 2022 general campaigns, he was pivotal in handling UDA Party social media platforms in Western Region including a popular WhatsApp group.

It was during that period that he got attracted to politics and in the process got the attention of Dr. Khalwale who luckily bounced back to the top of county’s politics.

“He made me a digital strategist during his campaign period and later an IT agent in Matungu constituency,” the young boy stated.

Though he is yet to join a higher learning level, he remains optimistic that soon he will have to complete that journey.
