Sunday, October 23, 2022 –A 23-year old youth has been arrested holding an improvised dangerous gun he has been using to rob innocent residents.
John Kimani Muchina was nabbed by Njiiru-based cops hiding a homemade fire arm and which had an unused live bullet by the time he was cornered by the detectives.
In a photo and video which has been trending on social media, built to mimic the slick design of a typical pistol, the self-made gun was made out of everyday metals and has a rusted exterior that portrays something which has been in use for quite some time.
In a statement released by police today Sunday October 23 afternoon, residents of Kayole Estate raised an alarm after learning that there have been a lot of selfish activities arounde his room.
The 11AM raid would turn successful with the culprit found and chained instantly as several stolen items including wallets and SIM Cards also recovered in the operation.
“John Kimani Muchina, 23, was apprehended and a quick but detailed search conducted in the premises
“In the dramatic 11AM incident, the sleuths immediately swung into action and raided the house, busting the suspect off guard,” read the police statement in part.
The home-made gun was recovered alongside a motorcycle make boxer, six pocket phones, car and motorcycle ignition keys.
Also on this list of found items included an insurance certificate sticker, a gas mask, mobile phone accessories, five empty wallets, a gas mask and three waist porches.
The suspect who is being held by the police will officially be arraigned in court on Monday, October 24.
