Monday, October 4, 2021 -Kenyans will have to brave themselves for another 30 days of curfew following today’s announcement by the Ministry of Health.
CS Health Mutahi Kagwe today Monday October 4 announced that the curfew period will have to take another 30 days as they still observe the covid-19 curve and trends around the country. This period, he also added, will be used to vaccine as many persons as possible.
The cabinet minister, however, had some good news saying the country had recorded a positive Covid-19 outlook of 2.7 percent, and with some more efforts, it could be okay to reopen the economy.
Kenyans had hopes that this time round, the government was going to consider their economic plight and reopen the country. But with the development, many of them have been left heartbroken once more and will have to endure the harsh reality.
Government continues to urge every Kenyan to adhere to covid-19 regulations even as the situation keeps improving so that to prevent any surge again. Lessening of conditions now could plunge the nation into another wave that could take a full year to contain.
Nonetheless, Mutahi promised to rely on the data from the ground to readjust the measures as time goes by.
From the total of 6,388,920 doses so far received in the country, 3,874,083 citizens have already received either their first or second jab.
