544 new Covid-19 cases confirmed as 13 more succumb

Kenya continues to record massive increment in Covid-19 victims as 544 more Kenyans got infected hiking the figure to 2,653.

Speaking on Monday August 3 during a presser held at Afya House Nairobi on Monday, Health Chief Administrative Secretary CAS Dr. Rashid Aman said among the new cases are 45 foreigners.

Citizen Digital mentioned in its detailed reporting that Nairobi County had 412, Kiambu 27, Machakos 17 and Kajiado 17.

Other counties that recorded new cases included Garissa with 16, Uasin Gishu with 14, Mombasa 9, Nakuru 8, Nyeri 5, Narok 5, Makueni 3, Laikipia 2, Murang’a 1, Kilifi 1, Busia 1, Embu 1, Bungoma 1, Kisii 1, Kwale 1 and Meru County 1 case.

Thirteen more also succumbed to the virus bringing the total fatalities to 382 cases where 10 had underlying medical background according to the latest report from the ministry.

Those who have recovered were 263 hence bringing the total recoveries to 8,740.
