Kenya has recorded another higher number of infections in the last 24 hours. Confirmed reports have indicated.
The latest report has put it at a 6,90 new positive cases from 5,393 samples taken in the last 24 hours.
According to data released by the Ministry of Health MOH, the new cases are distributed across the country with Niarobi 535, Kiambu 56, Kajiado 28, Nyeri 24, Busia 9, Machakos 7, Kisumu and Nakuru 6 each, Embu and Garissa 4 each, Laikipia and Narok 3 each, Bungoma, Kwale, Meru, Mombasa and Nyandarua 1 new case each.
In Nairobi alone, cases in a day went upto 63, Lang’ata 44, Dagoretti North 43 and Dagoreti South 43 being among the leading.
Citizen Digital reported that in Kiambu, the 56 cases reported in the last 24 hours are coming from Ruiru, Gatundu South, Kikuyu, Limuru, Kiambu Town, Kiambaa, Juja, Kabete and Lari areas.
The latest data released also indicated that in Nakuru County the 6 reported cases come from Naivasha, and Nakuru West.
Down in Kisumu County, the reported six cases come from Kisumu Central which has 5 and Kisumu East with 1 case alone.
Despite the surge in case load, however, the country has seen 58 more recoveries what brings the total number of those who have recovered to 8,477. Five have also died in the last 24 hours.
