Saturday, September 11, 2021 -Ex-Director at Kenya Anti-corruption Commission EACC Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba or PLO Lumumba has joined those who are opposed to Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidency.
Making a morning appearance on Citizen Tv on Wednesday September 8, Lawyer Lumumba urged that it will be a big mistake should Kenyans be convinced with Ruto’s political promises when he has been in power for the last eight years with nothing to show off.
Lumumba argued that during the first term of Jubilee government, Ruto was the de-facto Kenya’s president who called shots at will and he could do anything he wanted if he was serious about changing the lives of the many suffering Kenyans he is now promising Heaven.
He also added that Ruto was now drunk with power similar to other well-known tyrants in Africa like Bokosa, Mobutu and ex-Uganda’s head of State Idi Amin.
“William Ruto suffers from Jehovah complex. He love being worshiped and praised. He has even recruited a strong praise and worship team that report to Karen periodically for few tokens,” he said.
The lawyer also added that those who support William Ruto have been brain-washed to a level that they believe his word is law.
“They treat him like a 21st-century god. He has taken Bokassa, Mobutu, Idi Amin and Pharaoh’s paths. I want to tell electorates that vote for him at your own peril,” he added.
He asked politicians eyeing national seats to stop issuing fake promises to tired Kenyans because this is not the time to take this country for-granted.
“If we continue on this political trajectory, what happened in 2007, 2013 and 2017 may happen again because when I listen keenly to politicians speaking in public agora, promising us what they have always been promising in the past years without fulfilling, makes me think loud on the future of our nation” he added.
Lumumba instead urged the electorates to allow fresh new blood into the system during the next general election if they wanted to see some remarkable change in leadership of the country.
