Sunday September 19, 2021 -Senator Moses Wetang’ula has suffered a big blow following news that MP Majimbo Kalasinga(Kabuchai Consituency) had joined Deputy President William Ruto’s Hustler wing.
In a new twist, MP Majimbo attended the Saturday deputy President’s political events in Bungoma County and was even given a chance to address locals.
In his speech, the Ford Kenya lawmaker mentioned that he had now focused on joining the wining team ahead of 2022 and asked locals to throw their weight behind a candidate who has numbers.
Though he did not mention if he had left his Ford Kenya Party, Kalasinga’s remarks pointed to a man who was on his way out for the Hustlers’ team.
“After consulting the electorate I have decided to join DP RUTO’s Hustler movement to make sure Raila doesn’t get space around,” Kalasinga said before denying the same statement later on in another follow up interview.
He was recently elected as MP Kabuchai Constituency in the by-election that pitted him against DP William Ruto’s candidate Evans Kakai(UDA Party) after area MP James Mukwe Lusweti died unexpectedly.
This now leaves Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetang’ula in an awkward and painful corner as far as local politics of Bungoma is concerned.
