Monday, September 20, 2021 -Deputy President’s William Ruto’s car reportedly crashed one of the locals in Kiambu on Sunday.
DP Ruto and his entourage had attended a church service at Githunguri in the County on Sunday September 19 where he reportedly did not want to talk politics.
But later after the service, he held a filled-to-capacity rally at Githunguri Town in his bid to market his presidential ambitions ahead of 2022 race.
It was during the rally that one of his cars ran over a middle aged man before he was rushed to Komothai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Enraged locals have since condemned the careless driver who caused the death and asked politicians visiting their area to observe safety of locals first.
In Jun 2019, Deputy President William Ruto had to condole with the family of a seven year old boy who was ran over and died on spot by his convoy in Busia on a Friday.
“Saddened by news of the passing on of Sidney Mambala Felix, a young and bubbly boy. Followed closely the situation after I was informed of the unfortunate incident and, now, deeply condole with the family of Mzee Mambala, his peers and friends for the grave loss of a loved one,” Ruto tweeted on June 8, 2019.

Felix Sidney Mambala, was knocked down by a car in Ruto’s convoy during his Busia County visit where he had gone to launch the Lower Nzoia Irrigation project in Budalang’i.
Police would later report that the car which had caused the death was carrying DP’s official press team.
