Karua Elected Spokesperson for Mt Kenya Unity Forum

Monday, September 20, 2021 -Ms Martha Karua has landed a position to oversee activities in their Unity Forum recently formed to bring together political parties from Mt. Kenya Region.

The former Gichugu MP was unanimously endorsed to take over the noble role of steering-on the unity talks so that they can chant a single political path for their region.

She will be the official spokesperson of the Forum that brings together all political heavyweights among them, Gatundu MP Moses Kuria, former Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo, Ex-CS Mwangi Kiunjuri among others.

In a press briefing released on Monday September 20, the main reason of coming together is to take care of their region’s political interests as well as future.

“For the avoidance of doubt this forum has today chosen Martha Karua to be our official convener and our spokesperson,” Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria stated.

Martha who also addressed after her endorsement said the forum will not only focus on succession politics but also on the development of their region for many years to come.

“This forum is not limited to the presidential race but to unite the Central Region and the diaspora. It is not a short-lived forum but one that will outlive us,” Martha Karua noted.

They are now working on a blue print which will be served to all Presidential aspirants so that they(aspirants) could be tasked with explaining what they have for the region before they can be assured of any support.

This is another new twist for presidential front runners – Deputy President William Ruto and Raila Odinga both who are already on a hunting spree from the vote rich Central Kenya region.
