Raila kick-starts his tours with a major stop in Taita Taveta[Video]

Orange Democratic Movement ODM boss Raila Odinga has officially started his country wide politics to tame DP William Ruto’s roaring influence.

On Wednesday Sep 9^th, the former premier landed in Taita Taveta’s Weruga Grounds ahead of a series of events in the region.

While in Wundanyi in Mwatate, Mr. Odinga asked youths from the area to stop listening to the Deputy President whom he termed as ‘very corrupt’ and unfit to hold any public office.

He said the deputy president had allegedly stolen a lot of money ahead of 2022 campaigns to lure unsuspecting youths and innocent poor mothers to vote him in power so that he can mess up the country.

“Monies meant for the public is ending up on individual’s pockets, when some steal money they run to the church to make donations.

“They also run to women groups and youth after buying wheelbarrows and water tanks to help them, all that is rubbish,” observed Odinga.

According to Odinga’s hard hitting sentiments, no development can achieve its aim through use of graft cash to fund it.

He reasoned that it was very hard to purport to fund initiatives in the name of empowering youths while, on the other hand, stealing from what they have achieved using the other hand.

The opposition chief was saying this in relation to a series of meetings Ruto has been holding with women groups and youths at his Nairobi Karen home in the guise of empowering them.

And speaking on their Building Bridges Initiative BBI, he affirmed that their main aim was to achieve balance across the country.

“We wanted to build a bridge after failing to cross river Jordan to get to Canaan, and that is the meaning of Building Bridges Initiative.

“We know now that the economy has been severely impacted, many people are struggling, but there is light at the end of the tunnel,” former Prime Minister stated.

Odinga and his newfound ally Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta have both promised to deliver a life changing referendum before 2022 what DP is not comfortable with and has not once termed it as a totally ‘missed priority’.
