Saturday, October 9, 2021 –Human Rights Activist Boniface Mwangi was today(Friday) harassed by police officers while at a barber shop after he refused to allow the arrest of a receptionist over unknown crime.
In a series of videos he uploaded on his Twitter account on Friday October 8, the activist could be seen insisting for identification of the officers who had come in in numbers harassing traders around the building.
“Thread of how broken our country is. I was at my barbershop when these young men walked in, with a GSU officer & arrested the receptionist. We asked them to identify themselves, they said they were from KRA but they didn’t have IDs. We asked them to call someone who had an ID,” he wrote.

And while trying to capture every scene, he was manhandled to a point he sustained some injuries on his arm and legs.
He reported that the officers started chasing him around with an intention of grabbing his mobile phone so that to clear any evidence he had managed to gather.
