Tuesday, October 19, 2021 -Former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo has faulted ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi for insisting to be on the ballot in 2022.
Jirongo, while making his argument on a K24 tv, warned Musalia against vying for the top seat and instead urged him to support Orange Party leader Raila Odinga who he believes stands a better chance to win next polls due to his numbers.
The politician added that the Amani National Congress ANC Party has so many DP Ruto’s spies and moles who have been assigned task to malign Mr. Odinga so that Ruto could gain much from the ongoing disruptions.
According to the former presidential candidate, those loudly claiming to talk ill of the former Prime Minister have never been heard attacking Ruto even in one instance despite being an emerging threat to both ANC and ODM parties in Western. This has even made Ruto a popular candidate on the ground than Musalia.
Its for this reason alone that Jirongo has called upon all politicians from the region to back up Odinga so that to push away the increasing Ruto factor from their region.
He also argued that it is much easier for Raila to support a Luhya in future than it is for DP Ruto to support Musalia Mudavdi since Ruto is not that type to leave power easily when he takes it.
“Raila is a neighbour and an elder who can easily endorse one of our own as opposed to William Ruto who is unlikely to do so,” Jirongo stated.
Currently, William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka have already declared their interest in the top seat even as Odinga still plays hot and cold until the most appropriate time.
