Keroche Founder Tabitha Karanja Joins Politics

Wednesday, October 20, 2021 –Ms Tabitha Karanja – founder Keroche Breweries – will be vying for a political seat in the coming general elections.

CEO Karanja made this announcement on Tuesday October 19 when she confirmed that its her time to give a stab at politics; and she will be jostling for Nakuru senatorial position.

She revealed that after thorough consultations with stakeholders, they agreed that she should be running for a legislative role within Nakuru County.

The entrepreneur promised to use the position to champion for fair trade practices having been a victim for decades.

The business magnet revealed that she had never thought of joining politics in the past due to business reasons but time is now ripe for her to run a public office.

“I have new business ideas which can spur this country ahead economically and when the time is right I will name my political vehicle,” Karanja told the Standard.

Though she is yet to disclose which party she wants to use, word has it that she could decide to work with either Ruto’s UDA or ODM/Jubilee looming coalition.

In the race, she will be contesting against other big shots in politics among them ex-Nakuru senator James Mungai, Mike Weche, Andrew Yatich, former Nakuru Level 5 Hospital medical superintendent Dr Joseph Mburu and Daniel Kimani.

The current Senator of Nakuru is Susan Kihika who will be moving up the ladder for Governorship of Nakuru County.
