How Ruto Tactically Dragged his Bottom Up Politics Into Mashujaa day

Wednesday, October 20, 2021 –Deputy President William Ruto brought his highly touted Bottom Up agenda to the Wednesday’s Mashujaa Day celebrations held at Wang’uru Stadium in Kirinyaga County.

While trying to defend his position on country’s economy, Ruto assured his boss Uhuru Kenyatta that the Jubilee Party’s legacy will be sustained only through the Bottom Up economic approach.

The DP promised to make sure that whatever the president had achieved for the two terms will be safeguarded beyond 2022 when he(Uhuru) retires for fresh leadership.

“I assure you that as your deputy for nine years, your legacy and agenda and transformation of our nation together with the bottom-up approach will drive this country,” Ruto stated as the crowd cheered on.

As the second in command continued to deliver his speech, Uhuru could be seen smiling away at the DP’s cryptic message.

The president and his handshake partner Raila Odinga both favours what they term as trickle down economic model; while Ruto insists of the Bottom Up model.

The UDA Party leader further seized the opportunity to play the-good-boys politics by assuring Uhuru that he(Ruto) will play a big role in making sure politicians remain unified to keep Uhuru’s legacy ever-glowing.

“I want to give you the assurance that we will build on your legacy and ensure that the agendas you leave behind are not left uncompleted,” Ruto assured.
