Ruto Links Uhuru to his Mt Kenya Popularity

Sunday, October 24, 2021 –Deputy President William Ruto has revealed the person who taught him to win hearts of Mt. Kenya residents with a lot of ease.

Speaking in Kiambaa area on Saturday October 24, Dr. Ruto alleged that the President himself told him to approach the region strategically and help where he can, what he has been doing all along.

In a report carried out by the Star, the second in command went on to thank his boss Mr. Kenyatta for the noble advice that has now borne fruits even before 2022.

“I thank the President for telling me early to start organizing myself on how to climb the mountain. He told me if I want to stay in good terms with the mountain region people I should focus on the developments, I plan on the roads, plan on water, education and also visit churches in all corners,” said the DP.

Ruto issued the same free advice to those who want to harvest any vote from the vote-rich Mt Kenya part of the country saying they should first get an agenda for the residents.

“The president knows as he advised me to start early and organize myself to understand the issues of the region and start working on them and I think we have done a good job in matters development as we have done in every other part of the country,” DP added.

But even as he speaks about Uhuru’s involvement in his popularity, the president himself has now taken a different stand on who he wants to leave power to in 2022.
