Wednesday, November 3, 2021 –Embattled Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali has responded to calls by police to explain where the terror suspect he bailed out could be hiding.
Ali took an assurety for the suspect by paying for him sh 50,000 cash bail with a promise to be responsible incase he goes missing.
And now the MP has been forced to explain where the suspects Noordin Hassan Abdallah is after severally failing to appear before the court to answer to terror related charges.
This is happening after Principal Magistrate Patrick Wambugu had issued an express arrest warrant against the MP for failing to appear in court on October 4 after his suspect friend had missed court sessions.
Moha has now confirmed that he will be available on November 18, 2021 to explain more on the suspects whereabouts.
“Mohammed Ali being aware of yesterday’s mention and also having not availed the accused, I hereby issue a warrant of arrest against him to be effected by the officer in charge Kwale Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU),” the Magistrate read the orders.
From records which Homenews.co,ke has seen, Hassan failed to appear before the court a total of 18 times with efforts to find him hitting a dead end leaving the entire burden to the person who took bail for him.
“The accused has broken the law. On Mohamed Ali, who paid his cash bail and gave an undertaking he will assist to locate and arrest the accused, communicating with (the MP) has been hard as his phone is not going through,” a detective privy to the investigations stated.
Court documents detailed that Hassan was linked to Salim Rashid Mohamed alias Chotara who was filmed in June 2021 conducting a chilling beheading in the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC.
Hassan was charged with a total of twelve counts of terrorism related offenses.
