Mau Forest Victims Ask Ruto to Stop Blaming Raila[Video]

Sunday, November 7, 2021 –A section of women from Rift Valley Mau Forest have challenged  Deputy President William Ruto to stop whining about Raila Odinga instead of solving their problems while still in power.

Speaking on a random interview with a local channel on Sunday November 8, the emotional mothers exposed Ruto as a man who keeps complaining about Raila from January to December but not helping anything on the ground despite having been in power for now two terms of 10 years.

One of them stated that Ruto used to blame the former Prime Minister for evicting them from the Mau Forest but after he(Ruto) took over power in 2013 and Raila left office, todate, nothing had been done to relocate or compensate the victims.

“Akuje atuangalie sisi, sio kila mara kutambia ni Raila. Ayaa si Raila alitoka sasa watu wako wapi,” she posed emotionally.

The suffering mother has called upon the deputy president and his boss Uhuru Kenyatta to fulfill their promises the way they made when they were aggressively looking for power both in 2013 and 2017 and won.

During the Kibaki-Raila Odinga era of between 2007-2012, Mr. Odinga in his capacity as the Prime Minister embarked on the process of relocating Mau Forest locals with an aim of compensating them but due to poisoned local politics, the process faced headwinds and stopped midway.
