Ruto Blames Raila for Kisumu Violence – Video

Wednesday, November 10, 2021 –Deputy President William Ruto has blamed Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga for the chaos witnessed in Kisumu County during his second day in the Lakeside.

Speaking in Migori moments after he was evacuated from Kondele area where he was to address his supporters on Wednesday November 10, Ruto asked ODM leadership to stop fueling youth to throw stones at political competitors.

The visibly agitated second in command instead urged leaders to focus on empowering the millions of jobless youth so that to help them come out of poverty in the right way.

“I am asking my friend the leader of ODM Party please let’s not use our children to throw stones and cause violence. They deserve a better job and atmosphere to live,” he stated.

Ruto, was quickly evacuated from Kondele, Kisumu County, following the violence which erupted during his Wednesday rally.

Video clips from the scene showed rowdy youth pelting his convoy away forcing police to urgently swing into action in order to contain the situation which was getting out of hand.

The DP would quickly be rushed out of Kondele Market and quickly bundled into his chopper that ran away with him to his safety.

In the melee, police confirmed that atleast four Land Cruisers full of police officers arrived at the scene in full combat to calm the situation.

A number of cars in Ruto’s convoy were destroyed including his official black Lexus.
