FKF President Nick Mwendwa Arrested

Friday, November 12, 2021 –Embattled Football Kenya Federation FKF President Nick Mwenda has been arrested by detectives over fraudulent activities at the football’s body.

The beleaguered sports head was arrested on Friday November 12 evening and rushed to Kiambu road-based DCI headquarters for interrogation.

According to his communication head Ken Okaka, Mr. Mwendwa was pounced on at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Westlands Nairobi where he was presiding over Harambee Stars players meeting ahead of the Kenya-Rwanda World Cup qualifier match scheduled on Monday November 15. The Standard reported.

Upto the time of going to the press, Okaka noted that they had not been informed why the arrested had to happen during an important preparation meeting for the national team.

Mr. Mwendwa confirmed to the publication that he was safe but under arrest.
