Why I Will not Vote Ruto – Elachi

Monday, November 15, 2021 –Former Nairobi City Speaker Beatrice Elachi has accused Deputy President William Ruto of open greed.

Speaking with a local daily a day go, Ms Elachi stated that the main reason she cannot work with  William Riuto is because the man had demonstrated high level greed for public resources and that he believes is the only man who can lead this country after Uhuru.

“He believes he is Alpha and Omega. He made sure that good people in Jubilee went home in 2017 so that he doesn’t get people who will question him.

“The greed is one thing that has made me be disappointed in him. You can’t eat a country in five years like this,” she said.

A similar statement had been made by Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu who accused Ruto of destabilizing the country through politics of ‘divide and rule’.

The Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Ministry of Public Service and Gender was speaking this in their Azimio la Umoja rally attended by Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana and his Machakos counterpart Mutua Alfred.

“All the ministries that he took have gone down. He took agriculture and brought maize from Mexico,” she stated.

But Ruto would later respond while in Kitui asking his competitors to come up with a realistic agenda on how they will bring a meal for every family when elected to power.
