Friday, November 26, 2021 –Kirinyaga Woman Representative Purity Ngirici is now regretting using her millions to finance Ruto’s ongoing United Democratic Alliance UDA campaigns.
Speaking to the Standard, Ms Ngirici claimed she has been emptying her accounts oftenly in order to make DP William Ruto popular in Kirinyaga County; an exercise she diligently carried out successfully only to be shortchanged along the way.
“I popularized UDA Party in Kirinyaga County. I convinced my people that UDA was the political outfit to join, and that Ruto was the man best-suited to take over from [President] Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022. I also made them see the gaps in BBI, which was being championed by the President’s team,” she said.
The visibly bitter Ngirici went on to state that she had even sacrificed some of her family properties and businesses into UDA offices with hopes that Ruto will be grateful. Among the things she had already done are converting Ngirici and Sons Rescue Team Center to UDA Party County offices and had also changed the branding of the center’s cars from ambulances and services utility vehicles to UDA colours.
“I am regretting but I don’t even want to remember how much I have used to build the UDA party in Kirinyaga from scratch, but I’m young in politics and still learning,” Ngirici stated.
Asked whether she was planning to join Uhuru Kenyatta/ Raila Odinga’s camp before 2022, the woman representative simply said this could also be a possible move.
She now believes Waiguru’s coming to UDA Party when its already strong around Mt Kenya is betrayal and that she can nolonger trust the DP as it has been before.
“I’m, however, confident that my supporters will follow me, regardless of the pedestal I will be standing on. Politics is akin to the game of chess; you must study it well as your next decision would determine whether you win or lose,” she added.
Ngirici has not stopped wondering how a person who has been opposed to their Hustler Nation could come lately and be accorded respect that the founders.
