Tuesday, December 7, 2021 –There was drama during Deputy President William Ruto’s political rally held at Sipili area in Laikipia County on Tuesday December 7.
A fairly large section of rowdy youth started heckling the DP with some asking about Raila Odinga whom they claimed to adore too much.
The hecklers decided to shout at Ruto as he detailed about his Bottom Up economic approach model which he wants to use to win the hearts of the struggling poor Kenyans.
Ruto’s efforts to calm the disruptions was not quickly successful as hecklers went on with jeering what rose Ruto’s tamper to decide to chase them away.
“Please stop disrupting my meeting. You have the liberty to organize your own. I will not allow you to come to my gathering to heckle me. Let us uphold some manners. This is my meeting. Let us respect each other,” Ruto was heard.
“Go and disrupt your own meetings,” a visibly agitated Ruto charged adding that those who want a meeting should organize one.
This even saw the DP start accusing some politicians in the area of sending the youth to his meeting so that they could interfere.
The Bottom-Up agenda is about moving the economy forward and ensuring that young people, women, small business owners and farmers have a real stake in the progress of our country. pic.twitter.com/lzQszx6mzn

Similarly, this triggered Ruto’s supporters to chant counter-slogans to silence the hecklers bringing the entire meeting to a sudden stop.
Ruto’s early address saw him focus mainly on unity and peace urging everyone to be his or her brother’s keeper especially in Laikipia area where cattle rustling has been on the rise. Video/Courtesy-
