Wednesday, December 8, 2021 –Raila Odinga Junior has reacted on a move by Mt Kenya Billionaires Foundation to endorse his father Raila Odinga for the top seat 2022
This is after today the group which has only top cream businessmen from the Mountain met with Odinga and promised to finance his campaigns around Mt Kenya as part of the popularization agenda geared towards achieving enough support from the region currently perceived to be under Deputy President William Ruto.
Reacting to the rare endorsement of his father to take over from the retiring Uhuru Kenyatta, Junior stated that it will be a major boost to his father’s campaigns and thanked the foundation for their promise but also noted that his father will not be turned into a robot to rubber stamp anything they want during his tenure.
He argued that Raila Odinga once he takes power he will serve all Kenyans in equal measure without discrimination.
“It is happening for the first time in history of this country that the largest tribe is endorsing Raila Odinga. This gives my father a major boost in his campaigns. We are actually very grateful for this move,” stated Junior.
Raila Jr also added that even though the foundation will help Odinga in the campaigns, it doesn’t necessarily mean their word will be gospel law in running affairs of this country from 2022.
“I know the group will do much to help Raila in his campaigns but this doesn’t mean that my father will become a yes man. Once Raila takes power he will serve all Kenyans in equal measure. Raila is a principled man and his age comes with wealth of knowledge and experience,” added Junior.

Junior is the last born son to former Premier Raila Odinga. He is known for making independent statements which sometimes don’t go along with the family.
