Thursday, December 16, 2021 –Deputy President William Ruto has reminded members of the Luhya community that he married from their region and they should therefore support his bid for presidency.

Taking his campaigns around the expansive Western part of the country on Wednesday December 15, Ruto highlighted the close relationship he has with the community saying his wife Rachel Ruto comes from Likuyani area in Kakamega County.

The chief hustler was speaking this during his Likuyani roadside rally yesterday as part of his efforts to consolidate support in readiness for the top seat in 2022.

“I have several home affairs to highlight, Likuyani people, this is where I got my wife Rachael and the Bible says that we should love our neighbors, if you corner me this time around then I will accuse you of abandoning me to God,” he said.

Taking a swipe at both Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya), the DP advised them to never join hands with ODM Party leader Raila Odinga since he had betrayed them more than enough times.

The DP indicated that if the duo joined hands with him, it would be alot easier for them to beat Raila within the first round.

“They are telling Mudavadi and Wetang’ula to support Raila to remain relevant in politics; that narrative is outdated.

“I want to ask my brothers to join me so that together we can form the next government,” Ruto stated.
