Monday, December 20, 2021 –There was witnessed drama in Mombasa County when United Democratic Alliance UDA aspirant was attacked by rowdy youth when he reportedly attempted to run away with mobilization funds.
Sources who have spoken to the media divulged that Mohammed Tenge is currently nursing injuries and bruises he sustained when a mob almost killed him on grounds that he was plotting to shortchange them after Deputy President William Ruto allegedly handed him mobilization millions ahead of his visit in Mvita.
He was reportedly handed the cash to help mobilize Ruto’s rally around Mvita area; an amount he did not utilize well.
“We engaged with the Mombasa County community leaders. Later shared our development plans with the people of Shanzu and Bamburi Mwisho in Kisauni Constituency,” DP Ruto stated.
The Parliamentary aspirant who is vying for the Mvita seat in next year’s general election, landed in trouble immediately he started taking the residents in circles.
Our sources claimed that they demanded to be given their dues early in time before they could attend Ruto’s rally at Burhani Grounds in Mvita Constituency, shortly after attending a church service in the area.
Police had to swing into action very fast to save him from the raging mob which was baying for his blood over the loot. He had to be whisked away to a safer place.
The victim, according to photos, suffered injuries on his hands, legs and ears before her was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated, bandaged and discharged.
