Ngirici Beats Waiguru, Karua in new Poll

Friday, December 31, 2021 –Purity Ngirici will win Kirinyaga gubernatorial race if the latest opinion poll is anything to go by.

Blogger Robert Alai conducted an online poll on Thursday December 30 and the results favored Woman Representative Purity Ngirici who garnered a whopping 43 percent followed by Governor Anne Waiguru who got 35 percent as Martha Karua ran away with only 21 percent.

“Who is the next Governor of Kirinyaga,” the poll question read.

On Thursday, MS Ngirici, who was supposed to battle it out for United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket with Waiguru during the upcoming party nomination, ditched the ‘wheelbarrow Nation’ and said she will vie as an independent candidate. She showed optimism that she will still win even as an independent person.

“In 2022, I will not stand with any political party. I will seek to be elected as a governor, as an individual, and I’m confident that I will sail through,” she stated.
