Monday, January 10, 2022 –United Democratic Alliance UDA Party brigade was on Monday in Bomet County drumming up support for Deputy President William Ruto.
The event was attended by several party leaders including new entrants like former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and ODM Nominated Member of Parliament Wilson Sossion.
At some point during an indoor meeting that was graced by Deputy President William Ruto, the ex-Bomet boss Isaac Rutto was seen hanging out helplessly after his namesake William Ruto abandoned him in the hands of bodyguards who were guarding a narrow entrance.
“Sasa funga kwisha sasa funga,” bodyguards and DP Ruto supporters would be heard saying as helpless Rutto hanged out in the loneliness.
The two arrived at the venue together but interestingly DP Ruto would get his way paved while remaining behind was Isaac Rutto who would finally be locked out of the indoor meeting.
Later on during their public rally, chaos erupted at the Bomet County Stadium as supporters of Isaac got angry and threatened to scuttle the event following mistreatment which was being meted upon their leader Isaac.
“I am disturbed by the governor’s remarks that he would want to see only UDA members, yet he himself is not even a member of UDA anyway. He is still a Jubilee member and has not resigned so we don’t even know what he would want to do in a UDA rally,” Rutto posed.
According to clips with media platforms, former Governor Isaac Rutto, incumbent Hillary Barchok, and Ministry of Petroleum and Mining Chief Administrative Secretary John Mosonik all who want to take over the county leadership, had to clash in broad day light in full view of cameras.
The ugly supremacy battle among the three is spilling to politics of parties with Isaac Rutto maintaining that he will not fold his party for Ruto’s UDA; something that William Ruto has castigated describing it as tribal village camps which have no logic in his politics.
DP Ruto would then go ahead to call out Isaac for continuing with his Chama cha Mashinani Party in an area where newly formed UDA is becoming stronger by the day.
