Friday, January 14, 2022 –Exiled Lawyer Miguna Miguna has taken on United Democratic Alliance UDA politicians and bloggers who have been faulting Jaramogi Oginga’s Azimio la Mwananchi initiative.
Through his Twitter handle on Friday January 14, the firebrand lawyer asked those disparaging Raila’s father to stop since he(Jaramogi) had a good idea for the struggle towards democracy in the country.
According to Lawyer Miguna, Raila’s father should be respected and accorded pan-Africanist respect for his struggle to liberate the country from chains of bad politics.
“Folks, let us respect Jaramogi Oginga Odinga’s 1966 AZIMIO – A Pan-African struggle for dignity, freedom and democracy. This is not the first idea conman @RailaOdinga appropriated. For someone who tried to pump fresh oxygen in his head for 4 years, I can only pity him,” Migiuna wrote.
Among UDA leaders who had linked Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja to Jaramogi’s Azimio la Wananchi is Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Millicent Omanga and Prof. Edward Waswa Kisiang’ani
Miguna’s sentiment is a sharp departure from his endless fights with Raila Odinga; son to Jaramogi and this reaction is coming at the time no one expected him to side with anyone from Oginga’s family.
