Thursday, January 27, 2022 –Famous football fan Isaac Juma Onyango has been hacked to death in Mumias. Police have made the confirmation.
Juma known to cheer the National team Harambee Stars and AFC Leopards was slashed to death by a neighbour over a piece of land in their Mumias area in Kakamega County.
Sources told Homenews.co.ke news desk that the veteran football fan was brutally attacked by an assailant well known to him after a protracted land court case.
The religious supporter of both Harambee Stars and AFC Leopards is known for walking and traveling long distances to cheer his favourite teams anytime they had a match.
He was very active anytime there was an event pitting the national team against any other foreign team. He was also present in all local derbies between Gor Mahia and AFC leopards which he whole heartedly supported bare-chested.
According to latest police report, Juma died immediately he was attacked by an armed assailant who was well know to him in their Mumias town.
“We have a suspect over the murder to know more,” Western police boss told journalists on phone.
Speaking to the police, wife to the diseased confirmed that the death of his husband was purely orchestrated by a neighbor over an unresolved land dispute.

His body would later be picked up by police and transferred to a local mortuary as investigations go on.
Among those who have already sent in their message of condolences are political leaders from Kakamega County and sports stakeholders countrywide who are yet to come to terms with the death.
