Saturday, February 5, 2022 –A mother has killed all her three children before turning the knife to herself in Gilgil, Nakuru County.
The 32-year old Moleen Akinyi killed her kids on poison before she killed self in their home where bodies would be discovered decomposing.
Before committing the heinous act, she had penned down a suicide note which claimed that her Kenya Defense Force KDF husband based in Somalia was not taking care of the family; what had become so difficult for her to continue providing for the kids.
In the suicide note, the diseased stated that since flying out of the country for a peace-keeping mission in Somalia, the husband turned the back on the family.
The four bodies were discovered by neighbours who felt a bad stench which was coming from her house. They had also not been seen for the past few days.
Police would then come to pick the bodies which they took to Gilgil Subcounty Mortuary.
