Thursday, February 10, 2022 –Former Premier Raila Odinga’s Statehouse preparations seems to be in top gear after a video showing him being received like an incumbent surfaced online.
Odinga on Wednesday February 9 flew to India alongside his lean family members and aides and, on landing down, the presidential candidate was seen being received in a Stately manner with a convoy of cars waiting to drive him around.
A full VIP motorcade which was parked in the vicinity and locals watching the scenes from a distance signified how respected the politician is not only in Kenya but also abroad.
Both individuals of Indian national and blacks were there to receive him including Indian security detail.
Raila was dressed in his brown Kaunda shirt and a black pair of pants when he touched down in the South Asian country. With him was his daughter Winnie who is synonymous with all Raila’s international and national trips.
Details revealed that Odinga was in that country to check on his daughter Rosemary who is currently receiving eye treatment. She is to undergo a special procedure medically referred to as Ayuverda.
Raila’s Indian trip was highly suspected to be associated with his health with a section of William Ruto’s allies claiming he was not feeling well due to vigorous campaigns he has been holding around the country.
But even as he was there, he was happy and lauded his brigade which had pitched camp in Siaya County to drum up support for his 5th stab at the presidency.
“Asanteni kwa kazi safi wanajeshi wangu na pia kwa watu wa Siaya,” Raila wrote from India.
