Thursday, February 10, 2022 –Mr. Peter Kenneth has declared a political war against Deputy President William Ruto whom he is accusing of disrespecting the head of State.
Peter Kenneth who appears to be taking the mantle in their Jubilee Party, organized a press briefing in which he warned Ruto against chest-thumbing that he helped Uhuru, when it is widely known that he only brought a small amount of votes into Jubilee victories of both 2013 and 2017.
He was reacting to recent comments from the second in command who, while in their Kenya Kwnaza Busia chapter tour, said he single-handedly made sure President Kenyatta forms government twice in 2013 and 2017.
“Bila mimi hii serikali ya Jubilee haingekuwa,” Ruto made the wild claims in Busia.
But in sharp rejoinder today Wednesday February 10, Mr. Kenneth castigated the DP whom he reminded that he only brought 20% votes in the Jubilee basket.
“Those (Deputy President William Ruto and his allies) who are showing disrespect to the president, we are saying that we are going to show you what respect is! Mtu alileta 20% of votes na anajipiga kifua kwamba aliunda serikali. What about the president who brought 80% of votes to win that election in which you became the deputy?” he posed.
The former Gatanga Constituency legislator who might also end up being Raila Odinga’s running mate in the August 9th elections, heavily deconstructed the DP over the remarks which he described as careless and uncalled for.
Kenneth went further promising to bring this to an end should Ruto continue walking around the country claiming that he was instrumental in Jubilee’s election victory, when numbers show otherwise.
He was speaking this after the Azimio la Umoja Murang’a meeting which saw allies fetched from around his Mt Kenya Region attend.
