Wednesday, February 23, 2022 –Thousands of people from around Mt Kenya Region started flocking Sagana State Lodge as early as 4 AM today February 23.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is highly expected to address his backyard over his succession in what pundits think will tilt the tides against his deputy William Ruto whose influence has been mind-boggling.
DP Ruto gained political influence in Central Kenya immediately they took power with Uhuru in 2013. The clever DP would make weekly forays in the area which he finally managed to grab from the hands of Uhuru Kenyatta. This he has managed to maintain intact even in their fallout with Kenyatta.
And today Wednesday February 23, the president is holding another third Sagana Lodge meeting to speak his mind on what he thinks is best for them.
Our sources today told us that thousands of residents started scrambling for space at Sagana Lodge very early in the morning forcing security detail from the Statehouse to intervene and bring things to order.
This desk was told that security team was ordered to allow in un invited members of the public to avoid blocking the highly guarded facility.
The Star established that by around 11AM, those who had been locked outside the gates were estimated to be around 5,000 persons prompting the organizers to allow them in, a development which also caused delays on the schedule.
Uhuru was expected to start his speech at exactly 11AM, but the organizers delayed the address to allow more time to accommodate the gatecrashers who were surging by minute.
