Tuesday, March 1, 2022 –Human Rights activist David Matsanga has asked One Kenya Alliance OKA principals to be cautious while dealing with Moses Kuria whose intentions are not in so clear.
The Kenyan-based Ugandan longtime activist has warned that the coming in of Kuria will mislead Kalonzo to remain in the cold saying all these are plans choreographed by DP William Ruto through the Gatundu South MP.
Matsanga was speaking this barely two days after Kuria met Kalonzo and fellow OKA principals on Sunday and promised to join the team only if they are not going to work with Odinga.
“Today I was hosted by my good friends from the One Kenya Alliance led by his Excellency Kalonzo Musyoka. They invited Chama Cha Kazi and myself to join the One Kenya Alliance. As we share many ideas between Chama Cha Kazi and One Kenya Alliance, we agreed to work together as long as OKA is not joining Azimio coalition which is incompatible with myself and the Chama Cha Kazi Party. We will hold a follow-up meeting on Wednesday 2nd March to agree on the way forward,” he wrote on Sunday afternoon.
This has seen pundits weigh in differently with Mr. Matsanga who appeared on an interview on a local Tv station saying the aim of Kuria is to stop Kalonzo from any progress to Azimio.
“I will look for Stephen today because I want to tell you to stop wasting time.
“Some of us like you so much because of your kind of diplomacy. Do not be confused by Moses Kuria, how about being Raila’s deputy?” Matsanga told Kalonzo.
On Tuesday March 1, Mr. Kalonzo leaked out, for the first time, the agreement they had with Odinga in 2017 which he said was reneged upon by the ODM party leader and said, this time around, he can only team up with Raila through a clear structured dialogue.
