Tuesday, March 1, 2022 –Renowned Legal scholar Makau Mutua has blamed Kalonzo Musyoka for leaking details of the purported (Raila-Kalonzo) agreement of 2017.
Talking to NTV on Tuesday evening March 1, the US-based professor of law wondered how Mr. Musyoka would decide to describe him in no certain terms while trying to prove how Raila Odinga’s ODM Party duped Wiper in the agreement.
“First of all, I cannot deny nor agree with the contents of the agreement but what I am shocked with is the fact that Kalonzo could today decide to go as far as using the strong words he used while roping my name into this,” Makau said.
He also said Kalonzo breached agreement terms by leaking the details of the secret pact because the only person mandated to make the document public was agreed to be Prof. Makau Mutua and not any of the NASA principals.
The development is happening on a day the Wiper Democratic Party leader released the document he claimed was a private agreement between Raila and him in 2017 which requires the former to throw weight behind him.
Kalonzo’s move seemed to complicate the Azimio la Umoja plans to merge with OKA coalition ahead of August 2022 contest.
