Sunday, March 6, 2022 –President Uhuru Kenyatta and his August 9 favorite Raila Odinga openly expressed their ‘bromance’ in a sports event in Nairobi today March 6.
Raila Odinga joined the head of State at the Muthiga Golf Club where the two presided over the closing ceremony of the 2022 edition of the Annual Magical Kenya Open Golf Tournament.
The duo was all donning white Golf outfit and were sited besides each other throughout the Sunday colourful event.
Addressing the audience, the President challenged the winners of the 53rd edition of the Magical Kenya Open Golf Championship to spend part of their earnings here in Kenya.
He also urged the event’s foreign winners, who walked away with a combined sh 109 million cash prize, to sample Kenya’s rich heritage by visiting various tourism destinations and if possible see if they can invest some cash in Kenya.
“I urge the winners to spend part of the prize money in Kenya to experience our rich tourism heritage,” noted Uhuru.
Two time Japan Golf Tour winner, Chinese national Wu Ashun, who was caddied by Kenyan Victor Navilegwa, took home sh 37 million after winning the overall title.
