Saturday, March 12, 2022 –Deputy President William Ruto has finally presented his credentials to the United Democratic Alliance UDA Party elections board for verification.
He walked to the party headquarters dubbed Hustler Plaza some minutes to 10AM in the company of his aides among them communication team.
Our sources further established that also present for the same exercise was university student Tracy Wanjiru who is expected to battle it out with Ruto for the party’s flag bearer position ahead of the August 9 polls.
The party had earlier announced that it received only three applications from willing candidates across the country.
And in a statement, DP Ruto’s Presidential Campaign Director of Communications Hussein Mohamed said the Deputy President had expressed interest in the presidential seat same to Jephnel Nyakwama and Tracy Wanjiru Kingoli.
“We are right to invite you for verification of your documents and interview to determine your eligibility as Presidential Candidate. This will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 0830 hours, the venue being Hustler Plaza,” party SG Veronica Maina said in a letter to the three applicants read.
Dr. Ruto who has since joined Kenya Kwanza Alliance with Musalia Mudavadi of Amani National Congress ANC as well as Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula is supposed to prove why he has ability to beat Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja Coalition.
