Thursday, March 17, 2022 –Former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga has revealed what he would do on corrupt individuals’ once he is sworn into office.
The ex-Premier, while responding to a corruption question at Chatham House in the United Kingdom on Wednesday March 16, said his administration will fight corruption to its completion.
“You once accused your brother president Uhuru of being involved in the Euro Bond scandal, will you arrest him and how will you address the Pandora papers and Kemsa Billionaires?” a journalist posed.
In his governance speech, Odinga who was responding to the question on how he would handle Eurobond, Pandora Papers alongside KEMSA multi-million corruptions, simply said he would make corruption a thing of the past.
“Corruption is endemic in Kenya and I will make sure that it is a thing of the past,” Raila cleverly responded.
This showed how Odinga is not only clever but also tactical when it comes to responding to weighty matters that touch on political heavyweights in the country.
He, however, made it clear that bad politics has been the main reason fighting corruption had become a nightmare in the country.
The Azimio team leader led a lean number of his allies among them COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, Peter Kenneth and Governor Hassan Joho to the United Kingdom UK for a five day tour.
