Wednesday, March 23, 2022 –Martha Karua of Narc-Kenya Party leader, has officially joined the Azimio La Umoja Movement of Raila Odinga.
In an early morning meeting organized at Serena Hotel today on Wednesday, March 23, Ms Karua said she had to choose between William Ruto and Raila Odinga and after weighing what each of them had done for the country, Raila emerged the best.
She noted that though both sides – Azimio and Kenya Kwanza – have corrupt individuals, Raila was fairer and showed signs of fighting corruption than the other side of the Hustlers.
“I Martha Karu and my Narc Party do support Azimio with Rt. Honourable Raila Odinga. Yes all sides have people who do not believe in the rule of law but I have been able to identify Raila to steer the nation in the right direction,” she said.
She added that together with Odinga, they have been able to come from far through the struggles and though at some point they have had their political differences, this they have been able to solve amicably.
Ms Karua adds to the growing list of key politicians in the country who have backed the presidential bid of the Orange Democratic Movement’s (ODM) Party leader, Raila Odinga.
This development setting to rest the speculations that she was headed to join the Hustlers Nation of William Ruto which was already warming up for her.
Karua now joins her colleagues of One Kenya Alliance, Gideon Moi and Kalonzo Musyoka, in drumming up support for Raila Odinga who will be facing off with William Ruto in the August 9 contest.
