Friday, April 1, 2022 –Kenya Kwanza leaders now want President Uhuru Kenyatta held responsible for using close to sh 10 billion in bankrolling an illegal exercise of BBI.
Mudavadi, Ruto and Wetang’ula have fired a warning to the Handshake duo and asked them to refund the public monies used in running the Building Bridges Initiative BBI which has since failed to pass legitimacy test in all courts.
In their hard-hitting media briefing held on Friday April 1, Musalia alleged that the task force alone gobbled a whopping sh 10 billion public funds at the time the country was being swept away with Coronavirus pandemic.
“We are aware that the Building Bridges Initiative task force spent approximately sh 10 billion of public money purportedly for collecting public views.
“Our members at the National Assembly are moving a motion compelling the Auditor General to carry out a forensic audit on all public funds spent in the illegal process from conception to date,” Mudavadi remarked.
He argued that the millions were never approved by the Parliament as it is required by law and therefore that was another great blunder from President Uhuru Kenyatta who wanted to please his friend Raila Odinga.
The three Mudavadi, Wetang’ula and Ruto said that the BBI initiators must be compelled to account for every penny that got lost in the fraudulent exercise.
On his part, DP Ruto was categorical that both President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga must publicly apologize to the nation for their mischief in pushing an agenda that has wasted the whole 4 years of the Big-4 agenda.
