Friday, April 1, 2022 –Raila Amollo Odinga’s chopper was today stoned by people believed to be the supporters Deputy President William Ruto.
The chopper’s windscreen was shattered by the stones as occupants escaped unheart at Iten area in Uasin Gishu County today April 1.
“Today we almost got killed in soy constituency Uasin Gishu County at the Burial of Mzee Jackson Kibor. Our chopper was completely destroyed and we had to look for alternative means mid-air… Congratulations Hon Caleb Kositany,” Junet Mohamed updated his followers on Twitter.
Woman Representative for Homa Bay, Gladys Wanga, also claimed that she was part of the occupants when the incident took place and called out Deputy President William Ruto’s confidants as having masterminded the attack for political reasons.
“This level of desperation is appalling. An MP organizing thugs to stone Baba’s chopper in midair is the highest level of political primitivity. William Ruto must be happy now,” she stated.
Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino also added weight to the claims saying their lives were almost claimed in the attack which took place when their chopper was just taking off.
“This was an attempt on our lives at Mzee Kibor’s burial Ceremony at Soi Constituency in Uasin Gishu County,” Owino remarked.
ODM Deputy Party leader, Wycliffe Oparanya, noted that this culture if not checked this early could lead to something else.
The ugly incident took place at Iten area just after the burial of Mzee Jackson Kibor who was laid to rest today Friday April 1.
