Wednesday, April 6, 2022 –Former Ikolomani lawmaker Boni Khalwale is trending for reportedly endorsing Azimio la Umoja candidate Fernandes Barasa for the Kakamega seat.
Khalwale, a known staunch supporter of Kenya Kwanza alliance and Deputy President William Ruto’s key campaigner has shocked everybody after he ‘allegedly’ mentioned that the ODM’s candidate Barasa was the best lucky man to take over from the retiring Wycliffe Oparanya.
In a clip doing rounds on social media on Wednesday April 6, Mr. Khalwale appears to say that Fernandes was the lucky man from the Wanga community in Kakamega County who may take over from Oparanya; but equally urged the locals to pick him for the senate job.
“Sasa huyo mwamme mnatita Fernandes anatafuta kiti kwa Azimio bahati ikimwangukia atakuwa gavana wa Kakamega. Vile heshima imeangukia nyumba ya wawanga kwa ugavana, hii kiti ya seneta mnataka akuwe nani?” he posed.
It will now be interesting to see what will be going on in Kenya Kenza coalition which picked on Senator Celophas Malala to be the next governor for Kakamega County.
In their recent rally, Khalwale had promised to help Malala clinch the seat.
