Raila Amollo Odinga’s elder brother Oburu Odinga has termed Deputy President William Ruto a ‘frustrated’ person.
Oburu, while responding to Ruto’s claims that he(Ruto) will win 2022 election even if Oburu Odinga was named the Chairman of the electoral body, said Ruto must learn to deal with his personal frustrations without involving other people.
The East African Legislative Assembly member asked the DP to stop hurling insults at fellow leaders just because he was abandoned by his boss for gross insubordination reminding him to direct his wrath at President Uhuru Kenyatta if he is being sincere to himself.
Oburu mentioned that Ruto was busy abusing perceived rivals and imaginary enemies on a daily basis with hopes of ascending to power in 2022.
Last Sunday, DP Ruto mentioned in his speech that the 2022 race will be won even if Raila’s elder brother would be the one running the IEBC.
But Oburu quickly warned Ruto to stop the careless talk against people who are more senior than him saying it was disrespectful from the deputy president.
“William Ruto must know that his age-mates are the likes of Oscar Sudi (Kapseret MP) and Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika. It’s high time Tangatanga had limits on their campaigns,” he responded through his Twitter.
He also reminded Dr. Ruto that it was the same IEBC that made him the deputy president of the republic of Kenya.
“The IEBC you’re talking about is the same that made you Deputy President. You’ve chosen a wrong path in your politics. Carry your grievances to the party leader. Kenya will exist with or without you being President,” Oburu added.
Oburu further wondered why Ruto was busy fighting Raila and his allies when the former premier has not yet declared his interest in running for the top seat.
On his part, Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo termed Ruto’s sentiments against Oburu as not only childish but also reckless.
“We will not stomach reckless statements from the likes of Ruto to joke around with names of those he is supposed to respect as his elders and seniors in politics,” Odhiambo cautioned.
Ruto had on Sunday poured cold water on calls for reforms which has a hidden agenda by some individuals hell-bent on ascending to power through back door.
