Monday, May 9, 2022 –Azimio leadership has today responded to the move by Maendeleo Chap Chap Party leader Alfred Mutua to join Kenya Kwanza.
Speaking in Kajiado County rally shortly after Mutua formalized his friendship with Deputy President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza coalition today, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed wildly claimed that some politicians were taking advantage of this political season to blackmail his Boss Raila Odinga to part with cash in exchange for their support.
But Junet stated that Raila Odinga’s values in democratization of this nation does not allow him to compromise anyone for support or loyalty.
“Kama wewe umechukuwa pesa kwa Ruto na unataka ati tukurudishie ndio usupport baba aha.. aha.. hiyo pesa baba hana. Ama kama wewe umeiba pesa ya umma na unataka baba akusaidie kufunga file kwa EACC hakuna tafadhali uende sisi tubaki na baba pekee yetu,” Junet confidently remarked.
During his decamping to Kenya Kwanza today Monday May 9, Governor Mutua accused ODM Party boss of a number of things among them lack of transparency to some selected members in the Azimio-One Kenya Alliance.
He would shortly be received by DP William Ruto and his team at Karen Offices where they also formalized their political union.
“Governor Alfred Mutua and the entire MCC fraternity, karibuni sana to the Hustler Nation. Politics of deception and contempt laced with intimidation and blackmail to sustain gluttony, state capture and patronage has no place in Kenya. We are African and Africa is our Business..,” Ndindi Nyoro said.
On his part, Mutua described the move as timely and inevitable since Azimio had started to treat smaller parties with a lot of contempt.
Deputy President William Ruto, on his part, thanked the governor for his firmness and boldness in making such an unexpected political decision.
