Friday, May 27, 2022 –KANU Chairman Gideon Moi today paid a visit to Mama Ida Odinga at her Karen home for a discussion.
Gideon who has not been very active in Azimio politics of-late since he was concerned more with Wiper Party leader with whom they together lead One Kenya Alliance OKA, today Friday May 27 showed up at Raila’s Karen residence.
Making this confirmation, Mama Ida noted that she was happy to receive the KANU Party boss for a robust discussion on leadership and succession.
“Baringo Senator @MoiGideon dropped by this morning, and we shared a fantastic conversation that touched on different facets of our nation’s life. We remain hopeful of a better Kenya for all Kenyans starting this coming August. #Inawezekana,” she updated.
Ida has been active since the time her husband Raila Odinga officially kicked off the process of succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta who is set to retire from office in August.
On his part, Gideon lauded the former PM’s wife for her boldness and consistency in matters leadership of this nation.
“We deeply appreciate and respect Mama @IdaOdinga for her fortitude, being forthright and patriotic to our country. She embodies the vitality of women as principal partakers in our country’s leadership. We wish her God’s blessings and happiness,” Gideon said.
Raila is making his fifth stab at the presidency following his initial failed attempts to capture power from both the late Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta.
He will be facing off with well-oiled Deputy President William Ruto whose ratings have also been scaring after he attracted unlikely charges among them Musalia Mudavadi of ANC Party, and Moses Wetang’ula of Ford Kenya.
