Thursday, June 2, 2022 –Wiper Party boss Kalonzo Musyoka has accepted Chief Minister position recently offered to him by Azimio coalition leader, Raila Odinga.
The Wiper leader today recommitted himself back in to Azimio la Umoja-Oen Kenya alliance and assured supporters that he will be joining the camp leader in rallies ahead of August 9 elections.
While announcing his comeback at SKM Center in Nairobi today Thursday June 2, Musyoka said he has a responsibility to make sure the country realizes a good and mature leadership which is more important than his own personal ambitions.
This development comes just a day after he announced that he would make a major political announcement in two days’ time.
Speaking at the burial of former diplomat Joseph Katithi in Kyawango village, Mwala, Machakos County, Kalonzo hinted that he could be on his way back to the coalition.
He went ahead to urge his Kamba community to agree with his decision because it means well for everyone.
“I will give a political statement within two days’ time. That’s why I am requesting the Kamba community to support my political move,” Mr. Kalonzo said.
He went further to ask his clansmen not to ridicule him for flip-flopping; and instead argued that he had to take time to think about what was best for every of his supporter.
Earlier today, Kalonzo met with all party officials elected and aspirants in Nairobi where he made his intentions publicly clear.
Also present in the meeting was KANU Party leader Gideon Moi.
