KDF Officer Flee After Chopping Wife

Monday, June 20, 2022 –A Kenya Defense officer, Shadrack Ng’etich, has brutally attacked his wife with a panga after his attempts to make peace with her and reunite fell on deaf ears.

Mother to the victim, Susan Lang’at, told this desk that the officer had come at their home to meet the wife with intentions of reuniting with her but they seemingly did not agree and that is when the officer went away for some hours, returned with a machete which he used to attack her daughter.

Susan confirmed that this attack took place on Sunday June 19 after the two had tea together before all hell broke loose.

“Mercy took tea and bread to him. When they nearly finished their breakfast, I went to the kitchen to prepare lunch before this happened,” she revealed.

In the brawl, her daughter’s hand got chopped off as the assassin kept brutalizing her with an intention of leaving her dead on the ground.

“I found him chopping my daughter. He continued attacking her even after she fell to the ground bleeding and pleading,” recounted Lang’at.

The victim would be left bleeding profusely before she rushed her to Kericho County Referral Hospital where she was transferred to Nairobi’s Kenya Defence Forces Hospital for specialised treatment.

This case is not an isolated one as cases of domestic violence have since been reported to be on the rise in the country.
